First Christian Reformed Church believes and attempts to practice a relational model of ministry based on the teachings of Jesus as found in Matthew 28. The model is that of Jesus who called disciples to Himself and then later passed that same task to them in Acts 1 where He tells them to make disciples beginning in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria…..We do this by being active in the lives of the members of First Church and the surrounding community. The cross of Jesus Christ has two parts. The vertical stake points us heavenward toward God Almighty and a relationship with our Creator. The horizontal piece points us toward relationship with other fallen people. We live our lives before the Face of God in relationship with God and in relationship with others.
